Moto 1 – Position 5

Waters began the frozen weekend on the Victorian track that had turned into ice the night prior with 3rd in the GoPro SuperPole.

Waters struggled in the first Moto to finish in 5th and made changes to the Fork and Shocks for more balance prior to the final Moto.

Moto 2 – Position 3

An action packed race was the standout for Waters, who thoroughly enjoyed the competitiveness of the final Moto.

Waters battled with the other front-runners to get into 2nd, before a tight battle against Kirk Gibbs saw him finish second best and close out the Race in 3rd.

Waters narrowly missed out on the Round Podium by 2 points and is now back into 4th in the MX Nationals Championship Standings.

Round 8 of the MX Nationals is to be held in Port Macquarie, New South Wales on the 30th of July.

“OUR DAY WAS HERE AND THERE, I FELT GOOD IN QUALIFYING AND WAS RIDING WELL IN SUPERPOLE. FIRST MOTO WE GOT OUT AND I STRUGGLED A BIT SO WE MADE SOME CHANGES TO THE FORK AND SHOCK AND GOT A BIT MORE BALANCE IN THE BIKE FOR MOTO 2. I GOT MYSELF FROM 5TH PLACE INTO 2ND AND WAS GETTING ATTACKED FROM EVERYWHERE WHICH I LOVED. WE FOUGHT HARD AND IT WAS A GOOD BATTLE BETWEEN FOUR OF US, GIBBS JUST GOT ME IN THE END WHICH LEFT US OFF THE PODIUM FOR THE WEEKEND..”
