Waters again had a great start to Moto 2, and was having a tough battle for 4th when his Shock gave out.

Nursing the bike to the end of the Race, Waters was able to hold off to finish in 7th.

Waters finished the Round 6th Overall and is now 4th in the Championship Standings, but is only trailing 3rd by 2 points.

Waters will head to the Manjimup 15000 Race in Western Australia in the five-week mid-season break, to test some Bike changes as he sets himself up to come out firing for the last half of the season.

Round 6 of the MX Nationals is to be held in Nowra, New South Wales on the 3rd of July.

“WE WON THE SUPERPOLE AGAIN WHICH WAS GREAT, HAVING THE FASTEST TIME AND FIRST GATE PICK IS ALWAYS GOOD. MOTO 1 WE WERE CONFIDENT AND GOT INTO A GOOD POSITION BUT GOT PUSHED OUT BY A COUPLE OF RIDERS ON THE CORNER AND FOUND MYSELF IN 7TH. I STARTED COMING BACK THROUGH THE PACK BUT MY GOGGLES GAVE WAY ON THE SECOND LAP AND I STRUGGLED WITH VISION. MOTO 2 I WAS BATTLING FOR 4TH BUT MY SHOCK GAVE OUT AND I JUST HAD TO RIDE IT HOME, NOT VERY HAPPY BECAUSE MURRAY BRIDGE IS GOOD TRACK FOR ME AND TO HAVE TWO HORRIBLE THINGS IN EACH MOTO ISN’T A GREAT DAY IN THE OFFICE FOR US. WE JUST NEED TO KEEP CHARGING THROUGH THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON AND KEEP LOOKING AHEAD NOW.”
